You can now book Next Chapter Books for a private event and enjoy the bookstore all to yourselves.
Our private gatherings are designed for intimate groups of up to 12 guests — perfect for birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, book clubs, girls’ nights, craft nights, meetings and other special occasions.
Bring your own food, grab your favourite drinks from our café, and settle in for a cozy gathering surrounded by books.
The Cozy Chapter — $100
2 hours | Up to 12 guests
Private use of the bookstore
Tables and chairs arranged for your gathering
Basic setup and cleanup
Guests are welcome to shop during the event
Outside food permitted
Café available for drink purchases
No alcohol permitted
Ideal for book clubs, meetings, Bible studies, craft nights and casual gatherings.
The Bookish Gathering — $150
2 hours | Up to 12 guests
Includes everything in The Cozy Chapter, plus:
Reserved event signage
Choice of basic table layout/setup
15 minutes of early access for the host to set up food or decorations
10% off bookstore purchases during the event
The Main Character — $225
3 hours | Up to 12 guests
Includes everything in The Private Chapter, plus:
One regular café drink per guest
Additional hour of private rental
30 minutes of host setup time before the event
10% off bookstore purchases during the event
$20 Next Chapter Books gift card for the host
Ideal for birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, girls’ nights and other small celebrations.
Food & Drinks
Guests are welcome to bring their own prepared food and snacks.
For the safety and comfort of our space:
No cooking or food preparation is permitted onsite
Guests are responsible for serving their own food
Leftovers and food containers must be taken home after the event
Drinks are available for purchase through the Next Chapter Books café
Outside beverages and alcohol are not permitted
Decorations
You're welcome to make the space feel like your own.
Decorations must be approved in advance. We do not permit:
Confetti or glitter
Open flames
Decorations that may damage walls, shelves, furniture or merchandise
Hosts are responsible for removing any decorations they bring.
Additional Time
Need a little longer?
Additional event time: $50 per hour, subject to availability.
